Ventilators are designed to temporarily ventilate and provide respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients who cannot breathe on their own or who require assistance to maintain adequate ventilation. This equipment is usually connected to a gas source that is pressurized and delivered to the patient through a breathing circuit.
